CM SETS RECORD -
THANK YOU !!
Thanks to all who
helped Catholic Memorial this year in the Big Red Machine's
march against breast cancer. This was the greatest turnout we
have ever had, beating last year's totals by more than 125
walkers and $10,000 in donations.
Here are some of
the 2008 results so far:
350 total
walkers
298 students
23 faculty members
Several parents and families
Almost 40% participation school-wide
As of 10/6/08, we have
raised $27,532.
CM is the largest
participating school in both the number of walkers and the
amount raised for all schools and colleges in MA. In total team
gifts, CM ranks fourth of all Walk participants to date.
Although there are many to thank, a few deserve special
recognition. First, Mrs. Leney and the Leney family for helping
organize and plan the Walk, including the creation of
www.CMwalks.org. Our new president, Mr. Paul Sheff, '62
announced the Walk and personally pledged $1 for every student
that attended. This was followed by Mr. John Burke, class of
1962, who pledged $5 for every student that walked, and the
familly of freshman Andrew Casserly, who also pledged $1 per
student walker. Your motivation inspired the boys.
Thanks for making this the best year we have ever had.
Sincerely,
Brian T. Scott |
